Repair a garage door

So did you drive into your garage door and break it? or maybe it is just crumbling? or the garage door opener is getting stuck? Have a read of my gargage door repairs tips here, a few little bits and you could save yourself a small fortune.

Garage door opener

The most comon thing to break on a garage door is the actual opener, this is usually a spring or a cable. If the cable is a metal one, and has a hydraulic tube on it, spraying some WD 40 on the area where the cable / metal goes in, this can free any locked or frozen areas.

Hinges sticking

Wooden doors stuck / swollen

Metal Doors

Hanging a new door

Electric garage doors

A little bit out of my league here, but have a look on google for someone local to look at this.

Fix It Yourself. Your DIY guide to fixing and repairing in and around the home. This DIY guide is written with the novice in mind, but if in doubt of your skills you should seek advice from a qualified person. Most of these things I have tackled myself over the years and have gained hands on experience in fixing things myself. I normally try to have a go at fixing something myself before I call in the professionals, but as soon as I realise I am out of my league - I call in the boys!
